British Columbia held it’s 44th invitation round of 2019 this week, this time selecting entrepreneurs in addition to Express Entry candidates and skilled workers.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 437 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on October 29.
Of those, 413 were distributed among the Skills Immigration and the Express Entry BC categories.
The Express Entry BC category is for candidates with a valid Express Entry profile in the federal pool of candidates. It is meant to facilitate the immigration process for skilled workers that meet BC PNP criteria and who intend to settle in the province.
The Skills Immigration category is a stream for skilled and semi-skilled individuals whose occupations are in high demand in the province of British Columbia.
Experienced entrepreneurs who want to establish a business in one of B.C.’s regional communities or who can actively manage and invest in a B.C. business may be eligible for one of these categories.
